Director, eCommerce – REMOTE (EST or CST preferred)

Summary The Director, eCommerce is a senior leader responsible for driving revenue, profitability, and operational excellence across our digital commerce channels. This role provides strategic direction, business management, and cross‑functional leadership to accelerate growth, enhance digital merchandising, and optimize the health of our online businesses.
Responsibilities
Amazon (Primary Focus – ~90% of volume)
Lead the full Amazon 1P business: assortment strategy, content excellence, operational performance, promotions, profitability, and joint business planning.
Own the relationship with Amazon Vendor Managers, AVS, Supply Chain, and Retail teams.
Oversee operational health including chargebacks, shortages, freight‑ready accuracy, PO acceptance, lead times, OTIF, returns, and CRaP‑at‑risk SKUs.
Optimize traffic, conversion, and revenue using Vendor Central, Brand Analytics, search term data, and retail media insights.
Drive catalog integrity, A+ content strategy, SEO optimization, and new item setups.
Guide the team in projecting revenue, profitability, and inventory needs.
Drop‑ship Businesses (Walmart.com + others)
Provide strategic oversight to ensure operational continuity, catalog health, and promotional alignment.
Support the team in managing item setup, inventory feeds, pricing strategies, and onsite merchandising.
Manage, coach, and develop two Associate Account Managers.
Partner and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve conversion rate, AOV, and overall site performance, ensure inventory alignment and forecast accuracy, and execute strong promotional plans.
Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks, including top‑line and bottom‑line metrics.
Requirements
8–10 years of relevant eCommerce or digital merchandising experience; CPG experience preferred.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High proficiency in Excel, PowerBI.
Strong people leadership capability.
