Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
The Digital Solutions & Enablement team serves as the central hub for executing strategic technology initiatives across Commonfund’s investment management businesses. By collaborating closely with business stakeholders, we uncover opportunities, design solutions, and drive adoption organization wide. Through structured change management and cross-team coordination, we ensure alignment and embed new capabilities across the firm.
As an Associate Director, you’ll partner with business leaders across Commonfund to identify opportunities, tackle complex challenges, and design technology solutions that scale. This role requires both sharp analytical thinking and hands‑on execution: you’ll assess solutions, evaluate trade‑offs, and turn business challenges into clear recommendations. Then you’ll build the project plans, create the training content, facilitate the workshops, and track what’s working. You’ll apply this approach across the organization, focusing on cross‑business initiatives that create the most leverage while remaining flexible to support any area where technology can drive meaningful impact.
This position is based in our Norwalk, CT office.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, and working sessions to understand pain points, workflows, inefficiencies, and opportunities
Analyze and vet technology solutions against business requirements, technical feasibility, and strategic fit
Assess current technology investments to identify optimization opportunities, underutilized capabilities, and areas where shared solutions could drive efficiency
Analyze data to inform decisions, build business cases, and measure outcomes using Excel, data visualization tools, or analytics platforms
Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring proposed solutions are technically feasible and meet business needs
Project Management & Execution
Build and own project plans from implementation through delivery, gathering business and technical requirements, creating project plans, and tracking progress against milestones
Directly facilitate collaboration across stakeholders through working sessions, training, and regular status meetings
Communicate progress and manage risk through executive‑ready status reports, presentations, and proactive identification of risks with mitigation strategies
Change Management & Adoption
Create training programs, communication plans, and enablement materials to support successful adoption
Define success metrics and track impact; monitor adoption rates, user satisfaction, and business outcomes
Build institutional knowledge through post‑implementation reviews, process documentation, templates, and best practices
Required Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required)
What’s Required:
5+ years of experience in digital transformation, program management, business analysis, management consulting, or operations
Strategic mindset with ability to identify patterns, envision future states, and synthesize information into clear recommendations
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to break down complex problems
Strong business and technical acumen to bridge business needs with IT capabilities
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong listening skills and ability to ask probing questions and build trust quickly
Self‑starter who thrives on solving ambiguous, complex problems
Comfortable wearing multiple hats and pivoting between strategic and tactical work
Proven track record leading technology‑driven business transformation projects from initiation through adoption
Financial services or professional services experience preferred (asset management, banking, or related)
