Business Solutions Architect - Oahu Hawaiian Electric

Location: Honolulu – Oahu

Job Type: Full-time, Senior level

Salary Range: $120,600.00 – $156,700.00

Job Summary Solely or through leading a team, designs solutions to meet business needs and improve business processes across the organization. Provides functional and technical knowledge and expertise related to SAP ERP/EAM modules and solutions. Oversees ERP/EAM system processes, identifies business cases, plans and directs configuration and enhancements, coordinates data exchanges, and ensures compliance and continuous improvement across Finance, HR, SCM, and WKM modules.

Essential Functions

Lead the Companies to manage, enhance and upgrade selected software with minimal customization.

Responsible for ERP/EAM functionality and interoperability.

Coordinate and communicate with corporate-wide stakeholders for integration and consistency.

Serve as liaison to Corporate Audit to ensure compliance with SOX and audit standards.

Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate cross-functional discussions on process improvement and requirements gathering.

Support functional and technical design, development, testing, and documentation.

Assist in development and maintenance of business team tasks and quality control of company work products.

Remain available for scheduled and unscheduled work, including outside normal business hours and weekends.

Participate in emergency response activities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP/EAM software and supporting processes.

Project management experience (PMI certification or equivalent).

Knowledge of electric utility business, especially regulated environments.

Experience with personal computers, office software, and database management.

Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge of SAP ERP/EAM security, policies, procedures, and compliance.

Experience with ERP/EAM software table structures, development standards, and integration.

Understanding of forecast/budget process and related systems.

Strong technical and business communication skills.

Skills Requirements

Project management leadership on technology implementation projects.

Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

Data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making in a 24/7 environment.

Supervisory/leadership ability with professionalism and tact.

Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.

State of Hawaii driver’s license (if required).

Experience with programming, database development, and SAP integration.

Knowledge of SAP modules: Finance, Controlling, FERC, Consolidation, OpenText VIM, Material Management, Ariba CLM, Plant Maintenance, Project System, EHSM, Mobility, Payroll, Benefits, etc.

Ability to design a continuous improvement plan across functional modules.

Experience Requirements

3‑5 years of SAP ERP/EAM systems experience.

6+ years in ERP/EAM business processes and end‑user functions.

6+ years in project development, implementation and assessment of SAP solutions.

6+ years in security access design and segregation of duties.

6+ years in utility industry ERP/EAM experience.

7+ years of programming/support experience in a computing environment.

7+ years of analytical experience in complex systems.
