Regional BDR Team Manager
Join Canonical as a regional BDR Team Manager to lead a dynamic sales team and drive growth for one of the world’s leading open‑source platforms.
Canonical is a global provider of open‑source software, most notably the popular operating system Ubuntu. The company supports advanced applications in public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT, and operates in more than 75 countries with over 1,200 employees.
We are expanding our sales and field engineering teams worldwide. The SDR and BDR teams are made up of outstanding graduates who are starting their sales careers and who thrive on learning new technologies. In this role you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 2–10 SDRs/BDRs, building and maintaining a multi‑million dollar pipeline, and driving continuous improvement through data‑driven decisions.
You will enjoy this role if you are organized, persistent, analytical, hard‑working, and eager to help talented people develop the skills they need to represent Canonical and advance their careers. You should be open to innovation, experiment with new outbound approaches, and constantly grow your own skills and those of your team.
Qualifications
Excellent academic results at school and university
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business or STEM
Knowledge and passion for business development, sales and technology
Track record of delivering exceptional outbound sales development results
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement – curious, flexible, scientific
Creative problem‑solving and cross‑team collaboration
Leadership experience of any form
Ability to use data to drive team activities and continuous improvement
