Base pay range $75.00/yr - $100.00/yr
Overview We are looking for a Qualitative or Mixed Methods UX Researcher to design and conduct research on topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), wearable devices, and technical solutions to users’ everyday problems.
Day‑to‑day activities will include:
Collaboratively and independently developing and executing research plans,
Partnering closely with researchers and XFN to refine research questions and inform study design,
Recording and analyzing attitudinal and behavioral data in‑lab and remotely,
Running descriptive analyses on small‑scale quantitative data,
Synthesizing internal and external research to provide clear insights,
Writing study reports,
Preparing presentations, and
Contributing to product strategy and execution.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong collaboration and problem solving skills across research and product areas
Experience with human subjects research in an in‑person setting
Experienced with hardware‑based research
Experienced in generative and evaluative qualitative research design and analytic methods
Experience running descriptive analyses on quantitative data
Experience utilizing data to define and support hypotheses
Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audiences
Flexibility to adapt and overcome obstacles inherent to working with software and hardware prototypes
Flexibility to adapt and overcome obstacles inherent to working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
Experience with autonomy and decision making to balance demands
Experience managing multiple projects and requests simultaneously, maintaining organization and communication with stakeholders and partners
Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time
Experience leading research studies throughout all phases of the product development cycle
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Masters in Sociology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field
7+ years experience in UX research and/or design
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Sociology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field
Experience with AR/VR technologies
