Job Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Compensation Analyst partners closely with HR leaders to assist in the design, development and administration of enterprise-wide compensation policies and programs. In this role, you will collaborate with HR management to develop and implement compensation strategies and provide trusted guidance to managers, supervisors, and HR partners on job evaluations, base salary recommendations, and incentive compensation. The Senior Compensation Analyst also proactively identifies opportunities to enhance compensation practices and plays an active role in driving thoughtful, data-informed change across the organization.
Responsibilities
Develops strong partnerships with the HR, recruiting and business leaders in the organization to identify and solve compensation related issues and provide consulting expertise. May act as a lead on compensation related projects.
Participates in the development of corporate compensation policy and programs including merit, base, incentive and executive pay for the Enterprise. Provides manager/supervisor training on compensation programs, processes and systems.
Prepares advanced ad hoc analysis and recommendations on subjects such as incentive plans, salary recommendations, and union increase cost analysis.
Evaluates job descriptions, performs market pricings, assigns job bands and maintains the integrity of the Enterprise's compensation structure.
Provides guidance, research and analysis to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy/guidance interpretations, job classifications, internal/external equity issues and compliance issues.
Conducts research, analyzes data and identifies trends in compensation and continually reviews current practices and policies to ensure that best practices are being utilized.
Qualifications
4 years of compensation analysis experience w/ Bachelor's degree.
Strong time and project management skills, and multi-tasking abilities.
Knowledge of FLSA and other state and federal compensation requirements.
Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel for analysis and presentation of data.
Experience using a Human Resource Management System, preferably Oracle HCM.
Detail-oriented; flexible and creative.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and logical reasoning.
Flexibility, able to adapt to change in work and priorities.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of Delta Dental's policies, procedures and guidelines preferred.
Base Pay Information The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300 National Range
