Responsibilities
Build and maintain a differentiated network of exceptional leadership talent across various functions, with a focus on individuals who excel in high-ambiguity, high-impact environments.
Partner with Greylock founders, investors, and search partners to drive the most critical executive searches, ensuring clarity on role definition, candidate signals, and the bar for excellence.
Identify rising leaders and proactively surface top profiles to the investment team and founders.
Assess candidates holistically across experience, leadership style, character, rate of learning, and long-term potential to guide founders toward thoughtful, high-conviction decisions.
Expand Greylock’s ecosystem by creating meaningful, trust-based connections between executives, founders, and investors.
Experience
6-10+ years of recruiting experience in high-growth technology environments, with a track record of partnering with senior leaders on Executive, Product, or Engineering searches.
Deep understanding of early-stage dynamics and what “exceptional” looks like in zero-to-one leaders.
Collaborative and great attitude. Nothing is beneath anyone on the team.
Learner's mindset: comfortable with feedback.
Demonstrated ability to earn the trust of founders, executives, and investors through clarity of thought, intellectual honesty, and sound judgment.
High EQ with the ability to navigate complex personalities and situations with maturity and discretion.
A builder’s mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in creating structure, and energized by helping founders scale.
Detail-oriented and able to leverage various systems for efficiency.
Proven ability to maintain strong, long-term relationships with top-tier executive talent.
Experience in both search-firm and in-house settings is valuable, but not required.
