Job Overview As a Sales Specialist & Consultant, you will lead the pursuit of storage solutions in your territory, industry, or accounts, collaborating closely with Account Managers and providing specialist expertise to drive pipeline growth and close deals.

Responsibilities

Drive sales of storage products and solutions within assigned territory or accounts.

Identify and pursue new opportunities by expanding and enhancing existing accounts.

Develop pursuit plans, build and manage a healthy storage sales pipeline.

Contribute to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings.

Educate clients on storage, reducing learning curve through knowledge transfer.

Collaborate with Account Managers, Presales, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain optimal pipeline hygiene.

Use internal sales tools to track pipeline and account plans accurately.

Work with cross‑functional HPE teams for end‑to‑end solution development.

Assess solution feasibility (qualify‑in/qualify‑out) from technical and business perspectives.

Negotiate profitable deals, expand accounts, and increase revenue footprint.

Build consultative relationships with clients and understand their business needs.

Engage internal and external experts to anticipate customer needs and co‑sell solutions.

Coordinate storage marketing campaigns and ensure alignment with account strategy.

Act as a trusted storage solutions consultant for designated accounts/region.

Use references and ROI/TCO stories to aid customer understanding.

Support deal closure with relevant stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

4–8+ years of sales experience, with a track record of progressively higher quota.

Strong experience selling storage solutions; extensive vertical industry knowledge.

Proven hunter mentality and ability to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close.

Strong financial acumen to assess ROI and TCO for customers.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Key Knowledge & Skills

Deep expertise in storage, cloud, and related services with competitive awareness.

Ability to translate technical solutions into business benefits.

Strong partner engagement, including mapping partner skills to opportunities.

Experience in multi‑channel engagements and end‑to‑end solution marketing.

Ability to lead, coach, and collaborate with sales teams.

Compensation Annual Salary USD 161,000 – 378,000 (Oregon & Washington), 50% base / 50% target‑level sales compensation. Amount varies by location, experience, education, and skill level.
