Compensation:

$140,000 to $160,000 per year

Role Overview The Director of Finance is responsible for providing ethical and consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel by supplying management with guidance, training, support and is also responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels of internal controls, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets.

What Will You Be Doing?

Evaluate the financial impact on business decisions.

Ensure that all levels of management are promptly notified of any financial deviations from established policies and/or control weaknesses in the hotel.

Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, preparing accurate cash-flow statements and managing receivables, cash balances, and deposits.

Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure accurate recording in accordance with Crescent Hotels and Resorts established guidelines, investigating variances to budget or prior year and offering improvement strategies.

Assist in capital planning, calculating returns on capital improvements and monitoring the bid process.

Ensure hotels’ compliance on all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes.

Coordinate completion of forecasts and budgets with management.

Analyze financial data and operations to assist management in maintaining the hotel’s financial objectives.

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, on a timely basis.

Establish and audit all internal financial controls across purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll, and employee records.

Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff including coaching, counseling, and discipline.

Maintain compliance with Crescent Hotels and Resorts standards and regulations for safe and efficient operation.

Ensure proper utilization, maintenance and periodic upgrades of all IT systems and equipment.

Direct and prepare financial reports in accordance with CHR requirements, meeting various due dates and deadlines.

Review and submit a Daily Revenue Report and ensure timely deposit of all cash and credit cards.

Review Labor Report for overtime and variance to Forecast.

Review departmental Checkbooks, advise of any needed changes, distribute and discuss weekly G/L report with department managers.

Update GM on any unfavorable financial issues impacting the month.

Reconcile Balance Sheet with proper backup, ensure all banks are counted, review Key Financial Controls Checklist, and participate in monthly Credit Meetings.

Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

What Is Required?

A minimum of FOUR years’ experience as a Hotel Director of Finance.

Demonstrated knowledge and accuracy in P&L composition, forecast accuracy, budgeting, cash management, and overall financial management that exceeds owner expectations.

Prior experience with Hilton systems is preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Self‑starting personality with an even disposition.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions.
