Full time, 40 hours per week, varies schedule. Pay range $85 – $136 per hour.

Job Summary Responsible for strategic oversight and operational performance for Patient Care Services within designated facility. Provides leadership, guidance, and direction in achieving outcomes consistent with organizational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives.

Education/Experience Graduation from an accredited College of Nursing with a Masters degree in a specialty such as Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Business Administration required. Doctorate (DNP or PhD) in Nursing required. DNP preferred. Five years of progressive managerial experience at Director level or above in an Academic Medical Center.

Licensure, Certification, and Registration Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the State of North Carolina. Certification in area of specialty or clinical administration required within one year of hire.

Essential Functions

Ability to provide strategic leadership for nursing practice and operations.

Demonstrates leadership in clinical quality, safety, experience, human resources, financial management, strategic and operational planning, continuous quality improvement, institutional support and system/market integration.

Plans, develops and implements approved operational and capital budgets for nursing departments.

Provides continuous quality improvement using quality indicators to initiate and drive organizational change.

Builds and maintains collaborative partnerships within and outside the institution.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain strong physician relationship skills.

Proven skill in coaching and developing others.

Ability to analyze and execute decisions in a timely manner.
