We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Jan 19, 2026. This opportunity offers long weekend coverage from Thursday morning through Monday morning, supporting the call rotation and nursery coverage in a nursery. The physician will provide care for newborns delivered at 36+ weeks, including attending deliveries, supporting c-sections, and performing key neonatal procedures.

Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Hospitalist

Schedule: 7am Thursday – 7am Monday, one long weekend per month

Responsibilities and Duties

Participate in call rotation and provide coverage for the nursery

Attend deliveries and c-sections as required

Perform circumcisions (highly preferred)

Conduct line placements, intubations, and manage vents for high-risk newborns

Stabilize sick infants before transfer to a tertiary care facility

Provide care for newborns delivered at 36+ weeks gestation

Additional Information

Must possess an active New York medical license

Board certification in Pediatrics required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required

Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Must be comfortable with neonatal procedures including circumcision, intubation, and managing vents
