Position Summary The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Department of Anesthesiology is searching for a General Anesthesiologist committed to patient care and resident education. UNC Hospitals are located on the main campus of UNC Chapel Hill and provide full‑service tertiary and quaternary care in a rich academic environment. The department also provides anesthetic care at several community hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers. The physician will be a member of the faculty practice and has opportunities for scholarly contribution and development.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent).
Completion of an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program (by the anticipated start date).
ABA certification or eligibility.
Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience working in an academic setting.
Teaching graduate level learners (interns, residents, fellows).
Experience working in a team that includes CRNAs and collaborating with other services.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements Not applicable.
