Storage engineer (Mergers & Acquisitions team)
Designs, implements, maintains, and optimizes storage infrastructure while merging and unifying data systems. Plans and implements storage network interfaces, ensures data security, reliability, and backup solutions.
Core Responsibilities
Plan and implement high‑performance storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, cloud storage, and direct‑attached storage.
Install, configure, and maintain storage systems and associated software, including upgrades, patches, and backups.
Monitor systems for performance, identify and resolve issues, and provide technical support.
Develop and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery plans.
Plan and execute data migration to a unified system.
Create and maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and reports.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage with other technologies.
Tune storage performance and manage resource allocation.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Technical skills:
Experience with SAN, NAS, cloud storage, direct‑attached storage, and virtualization platform storage configuration.
Familiarity with storage vendor appliance systems (e.g., NetApp, EMC) and backup appliances.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Detailed experience with NetApp On‑Tap and Snap technologies (advantage).
Proficiency with storage management tools and software.
Soft skills:
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality, timely delivery.
