Senior I&C Project/Portfolio Manager – Charlotte, NC We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Project/Portfolio Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The role will build strategic business partnerships and deliver I&C and Automation Solutions Provider (ASP) integration projects with key municipal clients throughout the Southeast. The position is full-time and offers a competitive base salary range of $135,400.00 to $176,625.00 per year.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the I&C team and supporting disciplines (electrical, security, process, etc.) through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.

Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders while ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management.

Work alongside our regional sales leadership and Client Account Managers on business development activities that result in the award of new I&C design and implementation contracts and task orders.

Contribute to the development of a regional I&C/ASP Strategy that delivers leading‑edge technology and SCADA/OT implementation solutions for our clients while actively diversifying and expanding our client base.

Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and support Jacobs' Culture of Caring work environment, including mentoring and supporting career development of more junior staff.

Required Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering.

20 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with Water, Wastewater, and related water market projects and municipal consulting.

10 years of experience in PLC and HMI control systems, CISSP, and/or Certification.

Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics and a proven history of leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self‑motivation, team‑oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem‑solving, and an effective organizational approach.

Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
