Job Overview The Construction Administration and QAQC Technical Manager (CAT) is responsible for the on‑site execution of multiple large‑scale projects during the construction phase. The CAT demonstrates construction expertise in all aspects of architecture and interiors projects, with relevant experience in CA project management. The CAT reports to the project Studio Executive or Project Manager and acts as the main on‑site point of contact.
Key responsibilities include reviewing or generating shop drawings, bulletins, RFIs, site visits, field reports, change orders, and other CA documents. The CAT maintains client relationships and business opportunities, mentors staff in the CA phase, reviews construction documents for QAQC, and works under the Director of QAQC to maintain high quality documentation.
Responsibilities
Deliver projects in Construction with minimal oversight.
Maintain ongoing client relationships and provide regular updates to the Architect of Record and Director of QAQC.
Direct CA activities, attend Owner‑Architect‑Contractor meetings, review shop drawings, field observations, and change orders.
Ensure CA activities emphasize efficiency, quality assurance, and code compliance.
Perform other duties as required, including quality assurance, problem solving, and stakeholder collaboration.
Provide periodic briefings/reports to Studio Leaders or PMs on needs, costs, and recommendations.
Manage CA projects using CUBE 3 Part3 CA software.
Qualifications Experience and Education
Minimum of 10 years related experience in architecture and/or construction profession.
Professional Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction.
Delivered at least five large ground‑up buildings in Construction Administration comparable to CUBE 3‑designed projects.
Strong understanding of local State and Municipal Building Codes.
Demonstrated expertise in managing large‑scale construction projects and contractors.
Awareness of the legal environment of construction.
Skills
Ability to work primarily in Revit and Bluebeam (training provided).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles and construction materials and methods.
Additional qualification: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Compensation Salary: $110,000 – $130,000
