Location: Melville, NY (*3-4 days a week onsite*) Salary: $160,000 - $180,000/annually + Benefits & Bonus Job Description: This role is central to the firm's financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, combining high-level strategic management with hands‑on oversight. Financial & Regulatory Oversight

Establish and maintain a robust, accurate, and timely regulatory reporting framework that effectively supports the firm, its departments, and Partners across all jurisdictions. Ensure the integrity of all firm accounting data by strictly adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the firm's internal accounting policies and procedures. Oversee and manage all aspects of the firm's core accounting operations, ensuring efficient, effective, and consistently high-quality results for monthly close, financial reporting, cash management, and trust accounts. Proactively monitor changes to regulations in all applicable jurisdictions and recommend/implement necessary process adjustments to maintain full compliance. Own the maintenance and control of the Firm's general ledger system. Strategic Collaboration & External Relations

Lead the management of the relationship with the external CPA firm regarding year-end reviews, external audits, special projects, and the production of Partnership tax schedules. Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to develop supporting schedules for the firm's annual budget. Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders, including banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel. Manage online banking applications, including the administration of access rights, account updates, and maintenance. Partner with Senior Directors and business support teams to enhance and streamline firm-wide onboarding and exiting procedures. Leadership & Operational Management

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including staff accountants and the AP/AR Manager. Ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting in conjunction with CFO oversight. Design, document, and implement continuous improvement methods and strategies for all accounting processes. Fulfill ad hoc requests from Partners and the Management Committee for financial reports and data. Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of all firm funds, securities, and financial instruments. Talent Development & Team Management

Champion talent development by prioritizing the training, coaching, and appropriate delegation of new activities to the team. Take responsibility for all aspects of team personnel management, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and separation. Seniority Level
