What to Expect The Engineering Supervisor, Optimus leads a large team of 20+ Engineering Technicians within the Humanoid AI Robot team who support and sustain the research and development of our prototype robots and sub-systems. You'll be leading the team that is building/repairing the first iterations of the machines that make the machines, including highly actuated and electronically/computationally dense robots.

You will have a blend of leading large teams operating in a 24/7 capacity, creating clear efficient shift schedules, and hands‑on building experience and responsibilities around analysis, testing, and documentation. Projects are open‑ended and often with limited up‑front guidance. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background leading teams in Mechatronics, Industrial and/or Automotive, Precision Medical Device, Maintenance, and Testing. Must be a self‑starter and efficiently work independently as well as in team environments.

Develop technical acumen, acquire knowledge of all Tesla products, service systems, processes, and procedures.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience

Ability to travel up to 75%

Prior leadership experience in a service‑focused industry; automotive expertise is not required

Experience leading large teams

Proven experience leading field, technical repair, or manufacturing teams in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities

Experience running complex processes using Lean or other techniques

Valid driver's license required

Expected Compensation $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
