Responsibilities Summer Associate Program
Act as lead professional support for the California summer associate program to plan office programs and monitor program effectiveness
Partner with the Attorney Development team on summer associate staffing
Scale talent acquisition strategies as the summer class grows
Serve as primary talent liaison for summer associates during the summer program, including facilitating and attending off‑site summer associate events on evenings and weekends
Legal Recruitment
Act as the primary California contact for lateral associate recruiting and California law student recruiting, in coordination with the firm‑wide recruiting team
Partner with key stakeholders to implement recruiting strategies at target and regional law schools
Support law student hiring efforts by liaising with student organizations to coordinate firm sponsorships and events
Coordinate and manage the interview process, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, monitoring and sending correspondence, and facilitating offer follow‑up meetings
Update and maintain candidate recruiting data and metrics, and prepare reports and analysis as needed
Plan and execute recruiting events such as networking receptions, outreach initiatives, attorney panel discussions, and virtual recruiting programs
Attorney Development And Engagement
Work with U.S. Talent teams to enhance overall associate experience and support associate retention
Partner with the Attorney Development team to ensure California associates receive timely comprehensive annual reviews, appropriate interim feedback, and development opportunities
Support U.S. Talent teams as needed in California, including but not limited to certain onboarding activities and compliance support
Provide learning and development support for California attorneys, professional staff, and, as needed, for clients
Support reporting functions related to associate performance and development
Provide in‑person assistance for engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives
Qualifications
4+ years of legal recruiting/talent management or related professional services setting
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Excellent interpersonal, client service, written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem‑solving skills
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize numerous responsibilities with time‑sensitive deadlines
Previous law firm or professional services experience preferred
Background in program management or coordination
Experience with summer internship programs or associate development preferred
Project management and organizational abilities
Data analysis and reporting capabilitiesGood judgment and strong attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Enthusiasm and team‑oriented attitude
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
The estimated base salary for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This role is non‑exempt, meaning it is eligible for overtime pay.
