Sr. Project Manager (Customer‑Facing/Digital Platforms)

Location : HYBRID – Torrance, CA 90501
Pay Rate : $74.00 per hour (W2 ONLY)
Must be able to work on‑site 4 days per week (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY). Not accepting 3rd Party (C2C) Contractors. Not accepting candidates on work visas such as H1B or EAD. Not accepting candidates who live more than 40 miles from Torrance, CA. Must be able to interview on‑site.
Responsibilities
Lead delivery teams to work more effectively, focusing on continuous improvement and collaborating closely with Product Owners and project delivery teams, driving Agile practices for customer‑facing digital products.
Collaborate with IT, associates, consultants, and vendors to define product goals, backlogs, and roadmaps, ensuring successful delivery.
Manage one or more medium to large‑sized, moderately to highly complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high quality standards and customer expectations.
Assemble project plans, assign teamwork, monitor progress, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and appropriately escalated functional, quality, and timeline issues.
Daily tasks: manage project plan, staff tasks and progress, report status; track dependencies, manage risk and issues; communicate with business and IT stakeholders; review, refine, and validate complex business requirements; combine into a clear, prioritized backlog.
Review technical design with Solution Architects and Tech leads; ensure quality with QA team, test planning, and execution; coordinate and chair meetings with multiple stakeholders and distribute minutes.
Create presentations and communication materials for various stakeholders, including business and executive audiences.
Manage release and post‑launch activities end‑to‑end; support production systems as needed.
Examine and drive team performance, providing accurate and timely feedback to the team and transparency to Product Owner and executive stakeholders.
Support and empower Consumer Applications delivery teams and/or Product Owners to make appropriate commitments through story/task definition.
Challenge the team to continuously improve through retrospective data‑driven inspection and adaptation.
Maintain team data and collateral, keeping them relevant to changing business needs.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and prioritize backlog, ensuring visibility and transparency to the development team.
Negotiate with other product teams and partner resources to facilitate removal of impediments.
Support the Product Owner with meetings and building innovative solutions that contribute toward stakeholder business objectives.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, overseeing the implementation and management of applications, including developing project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
3+ years of experience project‑managing customer‑facing websites and digital platforms (Commerce, Sales, Website, platform, SaaS, and compliance).
3+ years delivering consumer‑facing websites or digital platforms involving complex data, transactions, or integrations.
Strong familiarity with Waterfall & Agile Delivery models.
Technical background to understand complex business requirements and benefits of assigned projects.
Ability to perform the role of Scrum Master.
Excellent communicator, able to negotiate with stakeholders.
Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to present to executive leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, training, or coursework in agile development, innovation, and process management.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with Clarity for Project Management and Financial Management.
Familiarity with Jira/Confluence tools to manage project artifacts, user stories.
Automotive industry background.
Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem/products.
