Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for opportunities in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at our Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Clinic’s heart center is nationally ranked and recognized as the global leader in cardiovascular care.
Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
We offer diverse and innovative cases to challenge and engage you. Case types include cardiac cases (mini‑incisions and robotic), heart and lung transplant, thoracic (lung and esophagus) surgeries, and some cardiology cases (TAVR, etc.) in hybrid rooms, as well as high‑risk EPS device removal/implantation.
CRNAs collaborate with CT anesthesiologists, fellows, residents, and SRNAs as a unified anesthesia team, fostering a culture of respect and shared responsibilities.
Work‑life balance is achieved through flexible scheduling options. Most CRNAs work three 13‑hour shifts but may work five 8‑hour days or four 10‑hour days. This position does not involve call.

Responsibilities
Perform and document a pre‑anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post‑anesthesia follow‑up evaluation and care.
Select, obtain, and administer the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance, and emergence phase anesthesia.
Recognize alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, take appropriate action, and notify the responsible physician as indicated.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Graduate of an accredited CRNA program.
Certifications
Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Current CPC certification and recertification with the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through AHA and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.
Complexity of Work
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Work Experience
No experience required.
Physical Requirements
Full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extended periods; ability to lift and transport patients.
Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Ability to work under extreme pressure.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $143,960.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $259,110.00
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking into consideration factors such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
