About the Division The Department of Pediatrics, UNC – North Carolina Children’s Hospital, seeks a full‑time faculty member for a 1.0 FTE open rank position. The Division of Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine includes 20 faculty members and 8 fellows and is fully accredited. The division engages in NIH‑funded research (e.g., ELGAN‑ECHO Study) and participates in multiple national networks. The division values patient care, education, and research, with a focus on underserved populations and health disparities.
Position Summary The successful candidate will provide clinical care, contribute to research and medical education, and maintain a commitment to quality improvement. Rank and salary will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic accomplishments. The position includes fiscal responsibility for departmental initiatives and mentoring responsibilities for learners.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine with training and experience in clinical neonatology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Commitment to patient care and contribution to research and medical education. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement is expected for all faculty within the Division.
