About the Facility South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital. It provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state‑of‑the‑art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services, from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults.
It maintains strong academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to sustain high standards of healthcare delivery. Attend to clinics for women's health specialties.
Perform history and physical examinations.
Order diagnostic tests based on assessments, develop treatment plans and prescribe drugs and other therapies, as needed.
Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
Counsel patients and families regarding care.
Review and respond to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
Precept, evaluate and mentor physician assistant students rotating through the assigned clinics.
