Director of Nursing Job Summary The Director of Clinical Nursing assists the Administrator with the supervision of home care services to patients in their place of residence and strives to provide the highest quality of care. The Director of Nursing Services is available at all times during operating hours and participates in all activities relevant to the professional services furnished, including the development of qualifications and the assignment of personnel.
Qualifications of Director of Clinical Nursing
Current RN license in the state(s) of practice.
Minimum 2 years of home health experience (required).
At least 2 years of healthcare supervisory experience, including 1 year in home care or related services.
Strong knowledge of OASIS, Medicare Conditions of Participation, QAPI, infection control, and home health regulations.
Able to lead teams, use independent judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Commitment to agency mission, quality care, and professional ethics.
Line of Authority Reports to the Administrator
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all clinical home health services to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Supervise, train, evaluate, and support clinical staff; manage hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions.
Coordinate patient care, staffing, scheduling, and interdisciplinary team communication.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state/federal regulations, and agency policies.
Provide clinical oversight for OASIS, documentation, chart reviews, and care plan development.
Lead the QAPI program; track outcomes and implement improvements.
Manage infection control, safety protocols, incident reporting, and risk mitigation.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff, physicians, and referral partners; maintain professional communication.
Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and community outreach.
Assist with payroll-related clinical functions, equipment oversight, and supply needs.
Share on‑call rotation and support field nursing when needed.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
All other responsibilities deemed necessary by administrator.

Pay Salary range: $110,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year. Pay depending on experience.
