Sr Lead Product Manager, Risk Solutions

Role Summary You will shape the product vision and strategy for PayPal’s risk signal marketplace. As a trusted advisor to customers, you will define product requirements based on deep discovery, design technical solutions that solve real business problems, and drive adoption through hands‑on customer engagement. You will build a bridge between customer needs and technical capabilities, ensuring measurable value, product metrics, success frameworks, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Drive product strategy with cross‑functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
Plan and implement the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, meeting regulatory requirements, time‑to‑market, customer needs, and profitability.
Assess the customer experience and needs in product requirements and decision making.
Set up data gathering mechanisms for the metrics that inform product success, including usability studies, research and market analysis.
Lead workstreams that include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data‑driven decision making.
Oversee product profitability measures, including budgeting.
Plan operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability, such as Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews, and interface with product and technology leadership as needed.
Partner with product designers, data scientists, content strategists and user experience researchers.
Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where processes are fluid and creative solutions are the standard.
Expected Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications and Preferred Skills
Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for the risk signal marketplace.
Engage directly with customers and prospects to understand needs, conduct discovery, and gather requirements.
Design end‑to‑end technical solutions including data delivery methods, API architectures, and integration patterns.
Translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories for engineering teams.
Lead customer onboarding, implementation planning, and technical enablement.
Partner with engineering and analytics to define signal catalog, data schemas, and delivery mechanisms.
Conduct product demos, proofs of concept, and solution presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
Proven track record in product management for B2B data products, APIs, or SaaS platforms.
Strong technical background with ability to design solution architectures, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical solutions and implementations.
Deep understanding of customer success principles and ability to drive product adoption.
Familiarity with risk analytics, fraud prevention, or credit risk in fintech/payment context.
Experience with API design, data delivery platforms, and modern data architectures.
Strong analytical skills and experience defining product metrics and success criteria.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer value propositions.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving products from 0 to 1.
Experience with design thinking, user research, and customer discovery methodologies.
Proficiency in product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar.
SQL knowledge and ability to work hands‑on with data preferred.
Compensation U.S. national annual pay range: $169,500 to $291,500. Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
