Job Description Summary This Sr Lead Product Manager role drives product strategy in alignment with a shared vision, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders. The position plans and implements an architectural roadmap that balances innovative design with regulatory requirements and customer needs. It assesses customer experience, establishes data‑gathering mechanisms, and measures product success through usability studies and market analysis. Responsibilities also encompass overseeing product profitability, leading operational reviews, and partnering with various experts to maximize efficiency in a dynamic environment. This is an individual contributor role.

Essential Responsibilities

Drives product strategy with cross‑functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision.

Plans and implements an architectural roadmap that balances innovative design, technical implementation, regulatory requirements, time‑to‑market, customer needs, and product profitability.

Assesses customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and decision making.

Sets up data‑gathering mechanisms that inform product success metrics, including usability studies, research, and market analysis.

Leads workstreams in analytics, customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to drive data‑driven decision‑making.

Oversees product profitability measures, including budget.

Plans operational mechanisms to drive execution and accountability, including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews.

Partners with content strategists, data scientists, product designers, and user experience researchers.

Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the standard.

Expected Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or any equivalent combination of education and experience).

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications

Leads PayPal’s AML/KYC product strategy for a key market, with deep knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.

Continuously monitors the competitive landscape to benchmark and design best‑in‑class KYC and identity verification experiences.

Translates complex regulatory requirements into clear product implications and customer‑centric solutions.

Champions innovative, risk‑based KYC approaches, leveraging data, technology, and experimentation to improve conversion, reduce friction, and enhance risk controls.

Drives alignment across Legal, Compliance, Policy, Risk, Engineering, Design, and regional leadership to ensure cohesive execution of AML/KYC initiatives.

Communicates complex regulatory and product concepts with clarity, tailoring messaging for senior leadership, regulators, and technical teams.

Facilitates senior‑level business reviews, regulatory readiness updates, and go‑to‑market planning for major AML/KYC launches.
