Wood is recruiting for a Right of Way Manager to join its Oil, Gas & New Energies business focusing on delivering large and complex projects for national and international energy companies. This opportunity is hybrid.

The Role Wood is currently looking for a

Right of Way Manager

to join our Oil, Gas & New Energies team in our office in Houston, TX. The role will be responsible for supervising, coaching, instructing, and coordinating the activities of three or more agents on a daily basis. The ROW Supervisor will also serve as a direct liaison between the company’s Land and Right‑of‑Way Department and various public and governmental contacts.

Responsibility for Internal Candidates Typical Responsibilities

Full supervisory responsibility for assigned staff and/or project.

Estimate staffing needs and schedules, assign and monitor work to meet completion date.

Coach and counsel employees, provide input to hire, fire and performance management decisions.

Work under limited supervision.

Consult with manager concerning unusual problems, critical issues and new concepts.

Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.

Develop solutions to complex problems requiring in‑depth evaluation of variable factors and new approaches.

Expected

Minimum of nine years of pipeline right of way acquisition experience.

Associate’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or Real Estate or equivalent experience in title research, pre‑law, surveying, or abstracting.

Right of way professional certification preferred.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

Excellent problem‑solving skills with ability to recommend timely and cost‑effective solutions.

Ability to present detailed status reports as prescribed by company.

Ability to coordinate outside land services as needed.

Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring, knowledge transfer and project planning.
