Children’s Meeting House Montessori School (CMH) invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for its next
Head of School , anticipated to begin July 2027. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven leader to steward a warm, joyful, and deeply child-centered Montessori community that empowers students to grow with independence, curiosity, and purpose.
Founded more than fifty years ago, CMH is known for its dedicated faculty, strong parent partnership, and a beautiful natural setting that enhances the Montessori experience. The school serves children from preschool through middle school, offering thoughtfully prepared environments, outdoor learning, and a culture that prioritizes respect, hands‑on exploration, and the development of the whole child. With a supportive Board of Trustees and an engaged community, CMH is poised for continued growth and programmatic innovation.
The next Head of School will be a relational and strategic leader who brings a collaborative spirit, a commitment to authentic Montessori pedagogy, and the ability to inspire faculty, families, and students. Key priorities for the next leader will include strengthening enrollment and retention, supporting and developing faculty and staff, deepening the middle school program, and advancing the school’s long‑term financial sustainability. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, operational and organizational leadership capacity, and a readiness to serve as a visible community connector.
