The Planner Graduate- Designer 1 will assist in the development and implementation of planning projects.preparing technical deliverables, and engaging with
both the community and clients to meet project goals and expectations within the project budget. This role involves interaction with the client, the public and other stakeholders, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. This entry-level role involves supporting senior planners, conducting research, **Principal Responsibilities**Familiarity with transportation planning and mobility needs with a focus on community-based needs, active transportation and safetyWork with public officials, developers, and community members to identify private and public projectsAssists with data collection, drafting, and basic Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tasks; shadows client meetings**Required Skills & Abilities**Good research skills, and good written and verbal communication skillsGood organization and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays**Education & Experience** Prior internship experience in the planning consulting industry preferred**Physical Requirements**Salary Range $64,000-$67,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
