Role Overview Principal Consultant – Business Analyst (ITO097449)
In this role, the Business Analyst is responsible for experience in Capital Markets, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance, Customer Lifecycle Management, Client‑Onboarding, KYC, AML, Trade Surveillance for implementation projects.
Responsibilities
Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making.
Leads and implements initiatives as required to deliver business objectives.
Builds AS IS, TO BE, and stories.
Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment.
Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
Leads/conducts detailed code reviews and provides feedback in a constructive manner. Decomposes business requirements and translates them into detailed design specifications and code.
Interacts with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the business and end‑customers.
Assesses the costs and benefits for different solutions and recommends or decides on appropriate designs.
Designs solutions, writes code, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artefacts/documentation, and facilitates final delivery.
Supports production issues, includes independently completing root‑cause analysis and diagnosis.
Devises new algorithms and data structures for target environment and platform attributes in alignment with architectural patterns.
Builds solutions that are supportable, scalable and achieve our aspiration of common assets. Recommends or automates approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Supports the management of specific project deliverables & outcomes. Identifies opportunities to strengthen the development capability, such as: sharing expertise to promote technical development, mentoring employees, building communities of practice and networks.
Qualifications
Any Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience and/or certification in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Capital Markets, Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance, Customer Lifecycle Management, Client‑Onboarding, KYC, AML, Trade Surveillance for implementation projects.
Experience on writing functional specifications and testing.
Experience on implementation of Capital Market platforms, API’s integration and testing using SOAP UI / REST and AWS.
Jira and Confluence for documentation and task tracking tool management experience.
Experience on logical data mapping, core data model.
Experience in MS Office suite.
Experience in writing BRD, SDD, PDD, Flow diagram, and wireframe documentations.
Verbal & written communication skills – In‑depth.
Collaboration & team skills – In‑depth.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills – In‑depth.
Influence skills – In‑depth.
Experience in Activiti tool (BPMS) and Javascript is an added advantage.
Experience in Java, JS and SQL.
Compensation The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
Location and Eligibility Los Angeles, California based candidates are not eligible for this role.
