Associate Medical Director - Physician - Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center - Manhattan, NY

Description The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) has grown to become a model of excellence in adolescent health care nationally and worldwide. We provide care to over 8,000 youth ages 10-26 years annually through its integrated model. We offer medical, mental health, nutritional, legal, and optical care at no cost to patients and at six school‑based health facilities. Responsibilities

Provide outpatient primary and subspecialty adolescent clinical care, including reproductive health services, LGBTQ care, HIV treatment and prevention, eating disorders, and chronic disease management.

Lead administrative functions for the primary and subspecialty adolescent medicine clinic, working collaboratively with the Medical Director to develop protocols, optimize clinic flow, and implement quality improvement projects.

Serve as administrative director of the HIV treatment & prevention program, ensuring alignment with grant funder guidelines and evidence‑based care standards.

Teach and mentor adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students in outpatient settings; act as attending physician in the inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service at Kravis Children’s Hospital.

Collaborate with the Medical and Mental Health Directors to deliver care in accordance with MSAHC’s mission, policies, state regulations, and funder guidelines.

Qualifications

MD degree with Board‑eligible/Board‑certified status in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.

Board certification in Adolescent Medicine.

New York Medical License.

Prior experience in clinical program leadership (Medical Director, Assistant or Associate Medical Director).

Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and grant‑funded programs.

Strong communication, bedside manner, organizational, and team‑management skills; commitment to mentoring and recruiting a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation Salary range: $190,000 to $275,000 (excluding bonuses or incentive compensation). Actual salary depends on experience, specialty, and other factors.
