This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative, self-motivated, and goal oriented Interior Designer with impeccable attention to detail to join a collaborative and passionate firm. You will work closely with the Principal and Senior Designers on all aspects of design and project management. We are looking for someone eager to continue learning, evolving and growing within the firm. This position requires knowledge of interior design and a strong ability to organize information, manage time and documentation, and follow through on assignments. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients - sometimes serving as their point of contact, communicating design concepts and updates effectively and efficiently. Design Development: Collaborate with Principal and Senior Designer to develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations that align with client requirements and project goals. Consultant Coordination: Coordinate with all consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure design integrity and project delivery. Detailed Budgets: Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence. Space Planning: Lead space planning and layout design for various interior spaces, optimizing functionality and aesthetics. Documentation: Prepare detailed design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and construction documents. Material Selection: Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings and fixtures in accordance with project specifications and budgets. Meeting Prep: Manage preparation for client meetings by creating tear sheets, organizing samples and materials, and finalizing all printed materials. 3D Renderings: Work with 3D renderer by providing content to create renderings and visualizations that help clients visualize the proposed designs. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source materials and furnishings. Project Management: Assist in project management tasks, including meeting notes, scheduling, and budget tracking. Trends and Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging materials, and design innovations. Share insights and ideas with the design team to enhance creativity. QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. 3-5 years of professional residential design experience. Strong understanding of the design process and project delivery. Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Knowledge of Mac Applications, Studio Designer, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Knowledge of Sketchup, Google Workspace, and other softwares a plus. Familiarity with the San Francisco Design Center and local vendors a plus. Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred. Highly detail-oriented, organized, accurate and consistent in all paperwork and data management. Creative problem-solving, organizational and time management skills. Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to proactively create harmonious and professional relationships. Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
