$28.68 – $37.91/hour Position Overview This role requires a
Master’s degree in Social Work
or related behavioral health discipline. The Child & Family Therapist provides in-home and community-based mental health treatment and case management services using the
Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO)
model. The therapist must be able to work a
flexible schedule
and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support families as needed. A “whatever it takes” mindset in serving families is essential. Key Responsibilities Provide
weekly family therapy
using the TFCO model, including skills training, coaching, and behavior reinforcement strategies. Engage caregivers and youth in change-focused interventions and identify barriers to treatment. Develop strong therapeutic relationships with families. Provide individual, family, and group therapy; crisis intervention; and case management. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, schools, and community partners. Advocate for families and connect them with community resources. Support families with scheduling psychiatric evaluations and medication reviews. Make mandated reports to Child Protective Services or Adult Protective Services when necessary. Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training. Maintain effective communication with external providers and community agencies. Assist in developing and sustaining collaborative community supports. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field. One of the following Michigan licenses: Psychologist (TLLP, LLP, LP) Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC, LPC) Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) or LLMSW with supervision Must meet
Michigan Department of Community Health Child Mental Health Professional
requirements within 120 days of hire. Minimum
1 year of experience
working with minors and families. Ability to engage diverse families with cultural sensitivity and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary providers. Ability to manage complex family and community systems. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
