Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant
Maintain and analyze
standard costs
and
inventory valuations Perform
cost variance analysis
and report findings to management Support
month-end close
and prepare journal entries related to cost accounting Assist with
budgeting and forecasting
for manufacturing operations Partner with operations to
identify cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with
internal controls and accounting standards
What Makes a Great Cost Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of cost accounting experience
in manufacturing Strong knowledge of
standard costing, inventory, and variance analysis Salary: $80,000 to $95,000
