Associate Product Manager (Spatial Genomics)
Reports to: Director, Market Strategy NGS & Spatial Genomics. FLSA Class: Exempt.

Role Overview As a technical expert, the Associate Product Manager assists in managing a portfolio of spatial genomics products through the product life cycle. Responsibilities include supporting product launch process, collaborating with senior marketing team to develop launch plans, creating promotional activities, developing and delivering technical trainings to sales teams, positioning products, setting pricing strategies, and promoting sales. The role requires passion for learning, strong technical understanding, good communication, and above-average writing skills. This office-based position may require approximately 5% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in day‑to‑day management of the spatial genomics product portfolio.
Support implementation of tactical marketing plans.
Participate in creating new content for the website.
Help develop product positioning, messaging, and marketing collateral for outbound marketing activities.
Analyze key performance metrics from marketing campaigns.
Work with senior marketing members to launch new products and retire old products.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Collaborate with senior marketing members to define product requirements, prioritize features, and support product roadmaps.
Partner with R&D, operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
Gather customer feedback and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
Support internal training and presentations for sales and marketing teams.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in biological sciences or related discipline (M.S. considered).
Minimum of 3 years postgraduate laboratory experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
Hands‑on experience with next‑generation sequencing and spatial genomics techniques.
Prior experience in marketing, field application science, technical support, or related roles within the life sciences industry.

Additional Information Base salary range for this full‑time position, located in San Jose, CA, is $125,000‑$135,000 USD. Compensation may change with experience.
