We’re hiring a Hospice Director of Business Development – a strategic and results‑driven leader who oversees sales operations, drives census growth, and builds strong relationships with referral sources. This role blends leadership, business development, and collaboration to expand access to dignified, meaningful care for patients and families.

What You’ll Be Doing
Provide overall direction, oversight, and expertise in managing local hospice sales territories
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing sales referrals and related activities
Recruit, hire, and train sales staff
Establish clear direction by communicating organizational sales goals, priorities, and standards to Hospice Liaisons and Clinical Liaisons
Monitor and track performance of Hospice Liaisons; implement interventions to drive optimal sales performance and exceed admissions goals
Maintain a disciplined approach to sales management, including scheduled calls, meetings, account management tools, and field ride‑along
Utilize CRM systems effectively to manage and develop sales territories
Coach Hospice Liaisons to identify key referral sources, develop new business, and manage accounts to grow market share
Collaborate with operations on budgeting and enhancing Silverado Hospice’s brand in the community
Manage an individual book of business within a specified territory for consistent productivity
Champion disease pathway programs for implementation and execution
Partner with Silverado Senior Living for hospice educational outreach and internal sales opportunities
Comply with legal requirements, standards, and company policies including HIPAA and documentation standards
Conduct outside sales calls to potential and existing referral sources, meeting sales quotas and conversion ratios
Promote Silverado’s programs and services to medical professionals and community organizations through regular visits
Qualifications
Home Health and/or Hospice sales leadership experience preferred
Minimum of 1 year healthcare sales management required
Minimum of 2 years of hospice sales experience required
Proven ability to manage a sales territory and contact database
LVN or RN license is a plus
Knowledge of hospice, home health, senior living, skilled nursing, and hospital systems
Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts
Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within territory
Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on business needs
