Job Overview
Wonderful Strategy Group (WSG) is a team of over 20 strategy professionals committed to delivering high-impact results for the businesses that make up The Wonderful Company portfolio.
As a
Manager, Strategy , you will independently drive complex, ambiguous, and high-impact initiatives from end to end, spanning strategic, commercial, operational, technological, and organizational topics. This role is based out of the Central Valley and will be onsite in the greater Bakersfield/Delano areas at least three days a week.
Responsibilities
Independently lead and prioritize work across multiple complex, cross-functional projects.
Manage and develop internal team members, fostering skill development and a high-performance culture.
Design and pressure test sophisticated growth, operational and organizational strategies.
Identify and resolve ambiguous business challenges with minimal guidance, using structured problem solving and data-driven insights.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with leadership at operating companies and business units.
Collaborate across functions and groups to drive growth and reduce waste.
Contribute to ongoing skill development and leadership training.
Travel occasionally to specified counties for direct collaboration with business partners.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, operations, technology, finance, or related fields.
Demonstrable executive presence and experience partnering with senior leadership to influence business decisions.
A strong continuous improvement and LEAN mindset.
Experience managing team members and developing junior employees.
MBA or equivalent graduate degree strongly preferred.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or undefined situations.
Strong leadership skills, owning and driving complex projects independently from concept to implementation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Benefits Pay Range:
$160,000 - $175,000 plus discretionary bonus.
Travel:
Occasional travel to Los Angeles, San Joaquin Valley, Napa, Sonoma, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
