We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, deployment, and measurement of machine learning solutions that power personalization and deliver measurable business impact. The role is highly visible, cross‑functional, and collaborates closely with product managers, ML engineers, and commercial stakeholders. Develop and deploy machine learning models to drive personalized recommendations and user experiences across business units. Perform analysis on large and complex data sets using SQL, Python, Spark, and Snowflake to provide strategic contributions. Use statistical and machine learning techniques to segment users and predict future behaviors, creating automated logic and decision algorithms to deliver a better experience. Lead projects from start to finish, set proper expectations, and collaborate with other data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to communicate technical findings and support data‑driven decision making. Oversee the integration and deployment of cross‑functional and cross‑organizational projects, developing process improvements and technical leadership. Stay up to date on the latest advancements in data science and leverage cutting‑edge technology. Mentor and enable other members of the DS team and the broader Data organization. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a highly numerate major (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, etc.) or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data science, creating and deploying models. Strong expertise in ML modeling, predictive analytics, segmentation, and recommender systems. Hands‑on experience in customer personalization and understanding the technical elements required to build and maintain advanced models. Experience in experimentation to validate models’ impact and quantify that impact. Technical Expertise
Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, Snowflake, and ML infrastructure tools such as MLflow and SageMaker. Experience with statistical modeling, A/B testing, and customer segmentation techniques. Experience implementing and overseeing ML platforms and building unified data products across multiple domains. Familiarity with online gaming platforms, trading systems, and marketing technologies. Ability to write production‑level code and understand programming principles. Leadership & Soft Skills
Strategic thinker with a proven ability to balance short‑term results with long‑term goals. Excellent communicator who translates complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for stakeholders at all levels. Collaborative team player who excels in cross‑functional environments. The annual salary range for this position is $118,000 to $155,000. The position is also eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan. Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM must comply with state gaming regulations, including licensing obligations. All employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency and maintain licensure as required. Failure to maintain licensure may result in termination of employment.
