Network Engineer
CTI, a Parsons Company, is a high‑tech software, systems engineering, and operational support corporation dedicated to providing cutting‑edge technology solutions for military and security applications. We are a veteran‑owned company and specialize in developing software solutions that enable the collection, aggregation, transport, and visualization of highly complex data sets for the warfighter.
Responsibilities
Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
Monitor performance, system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to ensure availability and reliability.
Provide Level‑2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes.
Support Risk Management Framework activities, including application of Security Technical Implementation Guides and collection of security‑related artifacts.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Produce documentation to support installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operator usage.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in network engineering or architecture.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation.
Experience with cloud networking (AWS preferred) and secure data exchange.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD integration.
Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python, Bash, Terraform).
Ability to represent successful completion of work in Agile Management systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitLab).
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
IAT Level I certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Experience in DoD or federal environments.
Certifications such as CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking, or CISSP.
Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Position requires onsite support in a classified environment.
Ability to work within company and customer schedule requirements, which may vary depending on task criticality.
Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible. Additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information may apply.
U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
