Job Description We are seeking a Project Architect to be integrally involved in the design process and lead the technical delivery of high‑impact projects, providing strategic technical direction and ensuring architectural integrity across systems and solutions.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates superior attention to detail, organizational skills, and creative technical abilities
Effectively manages time to execute assigned tasks and deadlines (3+ projects at any given time)
Communicates clearly with managing team members
Demonstrates advanced technical intelligence in practicing area of architecture and/or interior architecture
Demonstrates clear understanding of all project phases and sequencing
Develop site surveys and related documentation
Contribute to the development project schedules, staffing, budgeting, set up, close out, and profitability
Demonstrates advanced proficiency in assembly of Construction Documents
Effectively researches/problem solves to lead development of code compliant designs
Oversight and guidance of all design documentation
Leads communication with other disciplines, consultants, vendors, developer, and contractors to ensure seamless incorporation of all information into project documentation
Actively leads and mentors junior teammates across multiple projects in any phase
Leads and/or participates in project meetings, on-site visits, and field reviews
Participates in review of project costs /budgets and provides recommendations for value engineering
Leads Construction Administration phase by responding to RFIs and COs, reviewing shop drawings and coordinating CM, GC, and engineering consultants
Participates in management of OTJ and consultant invoicing
Collaborates effectively with all departments
Qualifications
8-15 years of experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree of Architecture (or in pursuit of)
Licensed: RA, AIA, NCARB
Advanced level Revit proficiency
Familiarity with rendering software and some proficiency (Enscape, Lumion, or other)
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Indesign, Photoshop)
Intermediate proficiency in Office 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of building codes; Chicago-Self Certified Professional ideal
Proficient in Bluebeam, Plangrid, and Procore
Advanced knowledge of construction documents
Advanced knowledge of technical detailing
