How You'll Make an Impact The Vice President, Global Supply Chain is responsible for leading the strategic direction, performance, and continuous advancement of Valvoline Global Operations’ end‑to‑end supply chain. This includes direct accountability for global manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, demand and supply planning, and customer service across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. The role ensures operational execution aligns with Valvoline’s strategic goals, environmental health & safety standards, financial targets, and customer expectations. As a key member of the VGO leadership team, the incumbent will develop a globally integrated supply chain that is agile, efficient, scalable, and a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities Include
Global Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with business growth, EH&S standards, and operational excellence.
Lead regional supply chain leaders across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC in driving standardization, performance, and global alignment.
Partner with the COO and other executives to translate strategy into actionable supply chain models that support long‑term success.
Drive accountability and leadership development across a global team of 1,100+ employees.
Integrate continuous improvement, ESG priorities, and risk mitigation into the global supply chain framework.
Ensure alignment with Aramco expectations and governance by fulfilling corporate reporting requirements, supporting audits, and sharing best practices across Aramco‑owned entities.
Manufacturing, Distribution & Warehousing Oversight
Oversee global manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing operations to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and customer service.
Establish global operating standards and compliance frameworks while allowing regional flexibility.
Align capital investment strategies with network needs and business growth.
Champion operational efficiency and automation in all facilities.
Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with internal and external standards.
Advance warehouse operations using lean principles, 5S, and space optimization strategies to increase throughput and reduce cost.
Planning, Logistics & Customer Service Integration
Lead global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align forecasting, inventory, production, and logistics.
Enhance demand planning capabilities through data analytics, collaborative processes, and system integration.
Optimize transportation and delivery operations to balance service and cost.
Manage global inventory strategy to support service reliability and working capital optimization.
Promote cross‑regional standardization and best‑practice sharing in planning, logistics, and customer service execution.
Leverage global scale to optimize resource allocation and infrastructure utilization.
Drive digital enablement and integrated planning visibility across global functions.
Performance Management & Financial Stewardship
Establish global KPIs and accountability routines to drive operational excellence.
Implement cost management practices across labor, materials, freight, and infrastructure.
Lead annual and long‑range planning for operational and capital investments.
Partner with Finance to assess supply chain cost drivers and profitability levers.
Guide business reviews to ensure alignment between regional execution and strategic goals.
Global Quality Systems & Operational Excellence
Lead development of global quality systems that ensure consistent product and service performance.
Embed regulatory compliance and quality best practices across all supply chain functions.
Champion continuous improvement and measurable operational gains.
Institutionalize structured project governance and Lean tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) to embed a continuous improvement culture.
Partner with Engineering, R&D, and EHS to embed reliability into design and execution.
People & Capability Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a global supply chain leadership team and broader organization, fostering a high‑performance, inclusive, and safety‑focused culture.
Establish workforce plans aligned with long‑term strategy, including succession planning, skills development, and talent mobility.
Promote cross‑regional collaboration by identifying and facilitating best practice sharing, standard work, and operational learnings.
Strengthen team capabilities across planning, logistics, manufacturing, and digital supply chain through functional depth and leadership development.
Drive engagement through visible leadership, empowerment, and development‑focused performance management.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a global manufacturing context.
Proven success leading large‑scale operations across multiple international regions.
Strong expertise in manufacturing, logistics, S&OP, and customer service.
Deep knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), analytics, and operational technologies.
Exceptional financial acumen, with experience managing P&L impact and capital planning.
Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM) are a plus.
This role is based in a climate‑controlled corporate office setting with regular engagement in global manufacturing and distribution facilities.
Up to 40% international travel is required.
The position involves extended periods of computer work, cross‑functional collaboration, and occasional exposure to industrial environments, including noise, varying temperatures, and safety‑regulated areas.
As a global role, this position also requires flexibility in working across multiple time zones and participating in meetings with international teams outside of standard business hours.
