We’re working with a modern fintech company to hire an Engineering Manager for their PayOps team. This team owns merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB workflows, and integrations with major payment processors like Fiserv, Global Payments, and banking partners.
Ideal for someone with PayFac experience who has built automated merchant onboarding pipelines and understands compliance, risk, and scalability challenges of payments infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Lead a team focused on merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, and processor integrations
Architect scalable onboarding systems and reduce time‑to‑first‑transaction
Integrate with processor APIs and manage sub‑account hierarchies
Implement automated underwriting, verification, and compliance workflows
Monitor onboarding pipeline health and optimize conversion
Partner with risk, sales, and compliance teams across the org
What You Bring
6+ years of engineering experience, 3+ years in leadership
Deep understanding of PayFac, merchant onboarding, and KYC/KYB compliance
Experience with REST APIs, document verification, and identity validation
Nice to Have
Direct experience with Fiserv APIs, NACHA files, or bank integrations
Experience with multi‑tenant onboarding platforms
Familiarity with underwriting, fraud scoring, and risk logic
Background in .NET/C# systems or payment‑related data architecture
Experience with international onboarding and multi‑jurisdiction compliance
$160K‑$210K base + performance‑based bonus
