Next 150 Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking an
Equipment Specialist II
to conduct day‑to‑day operations in support of the equipment and temporary services business for Next 150 Construction.
Responsibilities
Possess a general understanding of all aspects of the equipment & temporary services business, apply KPIs to support decision‑making and recommend to leadership.
Perform purchasing, equipment fleet & inventory management, scheduling, billing and customer relations following Next 150 processes.
Partner with customers to provide solutions to their equipment and service needs.
Serve as subject‑matter expert on selected equipment & temporary services lines.
Prepare equipment and service bid packages as needed.
Provide customers and vendors with pricing, availability and specification details.
Analyze and resolve equipment, inventory, service and billing discrepancies.
Maintain records of location, maintenance, repairs and warranty of equipment.
Identify improvement opportunities and document potential enhancements.
Identify opportunities to expand business offerings and propose to leadership.
Review and coordinate contracts, communicating with internal and external parties to agree on terms.
Participate in safety activities and training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Experience / Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in equipment rental, warehouse, or construction.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Multitasking with strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of procurement and asset‑management software.
Ability to identify common construction equipment and materials.
Thorough knowledge of logistics operations covering equipment, warehouse, storage and safety.
Working Environment
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Travel as needed.
Typical jobsite and office environment; may be exposed temporarily to extreme weather.
Frequent activities: sitting, standing, walking, viewing computer screens.
Occasional activities: bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
Salary range: $88,000.00–$120,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Salary will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, experience and internal equity.
