Overview The Staff Reliability Engineer will lead reliability strategy for data center products. This role involves driving design improvements, defining qualification methodologies, and implementing advanced statistical process controls to ensure robust product performance. The engineer will set reliability requirements for components and systems, influence design and process decisions, and mentor teams to achieve world‑class reliability standards.
Responsibilities
Own reliability planning and execution for complex data center programs.
Perform advanced reliability analysis, including device aging, electromigration, and wear‑out modeling, to validate process and design capabilities.
Architect and oversee reliability evaluation and qualification tests (HTOL, bHAST/THB, ESD/LU, package qualification), including hardware and pattern development/verification.
Apply advanced statistical modeling to predict failure rates and reliability metrics; guide design‑for‑reliability improvements.
Drive cross‑functional collaboration with design, test, and supplier teams to meet aggressive schedules and quality targets.
Prepare executive‑level reports and present findings to leadership and program stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for reliability engineering across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
6+ years’ experience in reliability engineering, including JEDEC standards and stress testing.
Strong background in silicon process technology, advanced packaging (2.5D/3D integration, chiplets), and reliability mechanisms.
Expertise in complex Digital SoC product reliability and qualification.
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (ReliaSoft, Minitab) and reliability modeling.
Familiarity with AI‑driven analytics for reliability prediction and optimization.
Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of reliability principles, failure mechanisms, and industry standards.
Proven experience with complex data center packages, including chiplet‑based architectures and heterogeneous integration.
Ability to influence design and process decisions at a strategic level.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple high‑impact projects under tight timelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Reliability Engineering experience.
Master’s degree with 3+ years of Reliability Engineering experience.
PhD with 2+ years of Reliability Engineering experience.
1+ year in a technical leadership role (if applicable).
Pay Range & Benefits $128,000.00 – $192,000.00 per year, plus a competitive bonus program and RSU grants.
