Staff Data Analyst – People Analytics Aurora is building a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all.

Overview The People Analytics team measures people initiatives and guides strategic decisions with (people) data & insights. We are looking for a Staff Data Analyst to join our team and help drive the future of people analytics at Aurora.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze People‑related data from multiple sources (HRIS, ATS, employee surveys, business systems, etc)

Own our people analytics platform, Crunchr, and drive our internal product roadmap for people analytics

Partner with business leaders to address and solve challenges in their organizations

Productize people insights into People team and business leaders’ regular decision‑making

Conduct ad‑hoc analysis to support strategic projects related to hiring, retention, performance, culture, and more

Build data models to better understand retention and performance at Aurora

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with privacy and confidentiality policies

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience including 5+ years working with people data in an applied setting

Strong proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) or people analytics software (e.g., Visier, OneModel, Crunchr)

Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into compelling insights for a wide range of stakeholders

Working understanding of statistical concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, cluster analysis, hypothesis testing, longitudinal methods, etc)

Natural curiosity and bias toward innovative solutions

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with People systems (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse) and survey platforms (e.g., Culture Amp, Qualtrics)

Experience with Python or R, with an interest in applying this to People questions

Product management experience or exposure

Compensation The base salary range for this position is $143,000 – $229,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
