Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend microservices using Java and Spring Framework.
Participate in and direct software programming initiatives, shaping backend architecture, mentoring team members, and conducting code reviews.
Develop and lead system validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon, integrating automated deployment technologies.
Prototype and deploy solutions on a cloud‑based platform, leveraging platform services.
Analyze proof‑of‑concept, performance, and end‑to‑end testing results and coordinate infrastructure needs to meet customer mission requirements.
Support the Agile software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to align User Stories with customer use cases.
Document and perform systems software development, including build artifact deployment across environments using GitFlow, GitHub, Jenkins, and scripting (Python, Bash).
Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures, creating innovative solutions to meet technical needs.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in Agile practices, service‑oriented environments, and development practices.
Extensive experience with Java, Spring Framework, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and integrating relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience writing software that interfaces with data technologies such as Elasticsearch, Postgres, DynamoDB, Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, AWS Lambda, and AWS S3.
Experience with DevOps toolsets and practices.
Direct experience using performance testing tools (JUnit) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
Proficiency with commercial cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud data services.
Version control and issue tracking experience.
Minimum education: HS diploma plus 20 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 15 years, or Doctorate plus 13 years of relevant experience.
Optional Requirements
Experience as an Agile Scrum Master coordinating user stories and facilitating team communication.
Knowledge of KPI generation and metrics analysis for software delivery.
