Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Architect for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
Design and build relational databases.
Develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation.
Clean and maintain the database by removing old data.
Design, develop, and manipulate database management systems, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases.
Ensure enterprise data standards and create a centralized registry of metadata.
Assist with accessibility standards for all user interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing on-prem and cloud.
10 years experience with business intelligence and big data solutions.
10 years of proven experience leading and managing advanced analytics projects.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and deploying data storage solutions.
Strong knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and other database technologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Leadership experience managing complex projects.
Experience designing and modeling data for cloud‑based data architecture solutions (e.g., Snowflake).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing big data applications.
Hands‑on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala.
Consulting and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, CCDA, HL‑7).
TOGAF certification and cloud architecture expertise.
