This role offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge hardware and software integration in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. About the Team The team focuses on creating innovative wearable experiences by developing prototypes that combine advanced sensors, cameras, and custom processors. Engineers work closely with hardware, software, and research teams to bring new concepts to life. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and debug firmware for devices integrating multiple sensors, cameras, and Android-based processors Work on microcontrollers and embedded Linux boards, managing power consumption, boot loaders, and real‑time tasks (RTOS) Build test applications to interface with peripherals and validate system performance Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and document design decisions and performance analysis Adapt quickly to evolving requirements and contribute to prototype development cycles Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of software/firmware development experience 3+ years working with embedded architectures such as ARM Cortex, AOSP/Embedded Linux, Snapdragon Wearables Proven ability to develop and modify drivers for high- and low-speed peripherals and buses Hands‑on experience using logic analyzers or protocol decoders for debugging Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with AOSP/Embedded Linux driver development and frameworks (kconfig, device tree, Yocto, Buildroot) Familiarity with HW‑in‑the‑loop testing, CI/CD, and build system scripting Why This Role Stands Out Work on groundbreaking wearable technology prototypes Collaborative environment with exposure to advanced hardware and software integration Opportunity to influence early-stage product development Long-term contract with potential for extensions Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
