SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect, $110/HR on C2C, Denver, CO/ Minneapolis ,MN, Hybrid Role Overview The SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect will design, implement, and govern solutions across SAP landscapes, ensuring seamless connectivity between SAP systems and external applications. The role requires deep expertise in SAP S/4 technologies, including the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Business Data Cloud, and legacy HANA BW, and the ability to understand end‑to‑end solution architecture that aligns with SAP business processes, Clean Core principles, and enforces standards, patterns, and best practices to minimize customizations and maximize operational resiliency.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design

Develop and maintain end‑to‑end solution architecture for SAP S/4 and any supporting non‑SAP systems.

Define SAP data access and integration capabilities based on SAP S/4 processes to deliver core business functional and non‑functional requirements.

Define, present, and govern SAP standards and best practices for enterprise‑wide adoption.

Ensure scalability, security, observability, and performance in all solution architecture designs.

Solution Delivery

Lead the design and implementation of the end‑to‑end solution aligned with a primary SAP S/4 business process using SAP BTP, SAP BDC, and related services (Integration Suite, Event Mesh, DataSphere, Databricks, etc.).

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Provide technical leadership and guidance during project execution.

Governance & Standards

Establish and maintain SAP and related integration and data governance frameworks.

Document, present for review and approval, and socialize standards and reusable patterns.

Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with architectural principles.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Stay current with SAP application, integration, and data platform technologies and trends.

Recommend improvements to existing landscapes.

Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP technologies, including core modules and integration.

Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Utilities (IS‑U).

Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.

Minimum 3 years of experience in AWS technologies.

Technical Skills

Experience solutioning in the S4 HANA Utilities business processes (at least 2 of the main process streams such as FICA, Billing, Meter and Device Management, etc.).

Expertise in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and related BTP services.

Strong understanding of integration protocols (SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, RFC).

Familiarity with hybrid integration scenarios (on‑premise and cloud).

Experience in AWS integration and data movement technologies.

Architectural Competencies

Ability to define and enforce standards, patterns, and best practices for end‑to‑end architecture solutions.

Strong knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization within the SAP architecture and across integration and data sharing landscapes.

Experience with designing for scalability, performance, and high‑availability.

Soft Skills

Excellent written and oral communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Ability to lead and mentor technical teams.

Ability to work across complex corporate landscapes that include multiple vendors, contractors, and employees.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent experience.

SAP Certified Solution Architect or SAP Technology Professional Certification.

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of non‑SAP integration platforms and middleware.

Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Lean IX (plus).

Experience in the Energy or Utility Business (plus).
