The Role We are seeking a Head of Data Center Engineering & Operations to lead engineering and facilities operations at our Dallas data center. This hands‑on leadership role ensures 24 / 7 uptime, safety, and operational excellence for mission‑critical systems. You will manage a local engineering team, oversee maintenance and construction, and implement SOPs to deliver reliability for high‑performance compute customers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop facilities engineering team.
Oversee electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure (UPS, generators, chillers, HVAC).
>Manage vendors, contractors, and on‑site staff. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
5+ years in large-scale, mission‑critical data center operations; 3+ years in leadership.
Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, chillers).
Strong knowledge of redundancy (N+1, 2N) and failover.
Familiarity with CMMS, DCIM, and compliance standards.
Excellent leadership and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred
Certifications (CFM, PMP), colocation experience.
