What The Day Will Look Like
Support Aon’s CFO for North America as a key finance partner, helping deliver the region’s financial and strategic objectives in line with the Aon’s 3X3 strategy
Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that support client value, revenue growth, margin expansion, and disciplined cost management
Provide analytical support and recommendations on growth initiatives, pricing actions, and investments in talent, technology, and solutions
Contribute to multi-year strategic plan, annual operating plans, and in-year reforecasts for North America
Prepare insight-driven performance summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for senior finance and business stakeholders
Prepare executive-ready reporting packs, dashboards, and variance analysis for the CFO‑North America and segment finance leads
Build strong working relationships with regional and global finance colleagues, segment finance teams, and shared services
Communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders and support fact‑based decision making
Support direction firm is going operationally and work with other Geographic and Solution Line leaders to align the North America Finance organization
Act with integrity and work every day in a way that positively impacts our clients, colleagues and communities. Create an environment of high standards, compliance and conduct
Challenge and create healthy debate with business partners on critical decisions, to pressure test ideas and assumptions. Present alternatives when appropriate
Articulate complex finance concepts clearly, translate for leader consumption, and communicate such effectively
Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions to these issues
How This Opportunity Is Different This role is a highly visible finance business partner to our North America CFO and a variety of solution line leaders.
Skills & Experience That Will Lead To Success
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and/or business partnering roles, ideally within a global or matrixed organization
Professional services, financial services, or insurance/brokerage experience strongly preferred
Proven track record of delivering high quality analysis, improving processes, and effectively supporting senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to link financial performance to business drivers
Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization tools
Clear, concise communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
High integrity, sound judgment, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment; hands on and willing to dive into details
Ability to partner and collaborate with colleagues across the globe
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Workday and TM1 would be preferred
Location: In office in New York, NY or Chicago, IL (hybrid)

Pay Transparency Laws The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 - $145,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
